This Saturday we enjoyed a beautiful Fall day at Cagle's Family Farm! It was a mild 72 degrees and there was a slight breeze ( I am thinking of this fondly now as it is now rainy and chilly). We started out on the bouncy thingy, bu that didn't last too long as Liam was terrified of it and Eden had a hard time with tights. But then we got Eden to ride the pony, that right...she did it..she rode on the pony. Last year she wanted to ride but clung to me in terror and wouldn't get on, but this year she told me she would and she did, though she looked terrified the whole time and wouldn't let me let go. Her pony's name was noodle! As we left Eden said "thanks, Noodle!"
Next we did the "Corn Maize", and it was not easy. Mostly it was just hot and lost its appeal after 20 minutes. At first we let the kids pick the direction, but then we quickly changed our minds. Now being wholesome farm land, at certain forks in the road they would have trivia signs with either general facts, farm facts, or biblical facts. Needless to say we were in the maze a long time...
We also did the "AG-venture" tour were we got to meet lots of nice baby animals who love being fed, go figure!
But then came the part that Eden has been talking about for weeks, the picking on the Pumpkin. We have been stalling at the grocery store for weeks now because she swears she just has to have one of these bad boys, well we finally do..as well as several small "baby" pumpkins.
What a great day!
